Born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, the composer, music video director, and producer Planzo works tirelessly to promote Brazilian funk music in the Latin American scene and beyond. His innovative approach to music production both preserves the authenticity of the genre and adapts it to new audiences. As a part of these efforts, Planzo teamed up with Splice Original team, Hank Records, and Fella Brown to craft this sample pack as a milestone in celebrating and promoting Brazilian funk. Mixing rhythms from the Afro-Brazilian diaspora with sonics more saturated and high-pitched than thought to be possible, this union of producers has ushered in a wave of modern baile funk that has taken over the underground club scene and the biggest "fluxos" in Brazil.‘PANDEMONIUM’ proves Humildes are an apocalyptic whirlwind. Completely at odds with the technical standards of traditional electronic music, they break down the sounds of techno to psytrance, breakbeat to electro, and reconstruct them—at world-collapsing volumes—around baile funk’s traditional rhythms. This may be the first pack of its kind, as it features fresh sound design from the front lines of modern baile and its youngest offshoots: funk mandelão, bruxaria, beat bolha, etc."In this pack we tried to bring all our main timbres and the main rhythms that develop the new era of baile funk, unlike the sounds full of ready-made and characteristic beat loops, the new sound of Brazilian funk brings a mix of the past with the present that allows us to experiment with patterns and ideas that many people do not understand."The pack was created by founding members Sykors, dj paranoia, Adame, Syredu, Dj Má, and features contributions from artwo, Edu Wasabi, Yandrel, Zero, DJ TCHOLA, Gabrieu, ettternalriot, fennecxx, rhonaz, and dj keu sempre.
