Philip Cornish - Sunday Service Keys
The Philip Cornish sample pack offers a collection of expertly recorded B3 Organ, grand piano and electronic keys, exploring the boundaries of gospel, pop, R&B and soul. With loops ranging from 70 up to 120 BPM - each instrument has been meticulously recorded, mixed and modestly processed, to offer a quintessential collection of loops and one-shots. Philip is the musical director for Kanye West’s Sunday Service. He started this new journey alongside Kanye in early 2019 and continues with him to today. He helped Kanye craft that sound, and has produced on Kanye’s chart topping album “Jesus is King” and the Sunday Service “Jesus is Born” album. At the heart of this collection, we wanted to bring the full studio experience only achievable by recording live in a studio setting. We pulled all the stops, hiring the legendary United Recording Studio B equipped with a phenomenal sounding Yamaha C7 Grand Piano and Hammond B3 organ with Leslie cabinet. The centerpiece of the control room is a custom built Neve 68 input 8068/8088 console with 40 original, vintage API 550a EQ’s and 56 Neve 31102 EQ’s making the selection of sounds a one-of-a-kind offering. Philip has toured with Kanye West, Jessie J, The-Dream, Akon, Musiq Soulchild and many other acclaimed artists. He has earned several production credits as a composer and producer as well as garnering numerous accolades such as multiple nominations for the Grammy’s, Dove and Stellar awards. Philip has also won multiple BMI “song of the year” awards as well. All sounds are 100% royalty-free and every loop and one-shot has been meticulously tempo-synced for ease of use. Impressionist Piano
Impressionism was an artistic movement that developed in the late 19th and early 20th century as composers and artists began to create work that sought to evoke tone and mood through abstraction and suggestion rather than overt precision and detail. Musically, composers began exploring nontraditional modes and colorful harmonies to conjure imagery and emotional resonance. Many contemporary composers have continued this approach, and their work has unsurprisingly found a home in many a cinematic score – serving as a natural compliment to a film's emotional and tonal potential. With modern technology, modern impressionist composers are now able to explore different recording techniques and lean into the particular qualities of a given piano to further enhance a sense of mood and atmosphere. Utilizing several pianos (a Model L 1916 Steinway grand, a 1988 Samick upright, and a weathered 1922 Aeolian player piano) along with various mic'ing techniques, pianist and producer Todd Brozman (Proud Creature, Moon Casual) explores impressionism from both a traditional and modern interpretation. Many samples were composed in conjunction with one another and in complimentary keys, allowing for harmonious layerings and juxtapositions. This pack provides endless options for producers looking to develop a piano-based score with natural development and stylistic cohesion, or musicians seeking loops and accents to add moodiness and color to a track.
