Jon Casey's Drill Trap
Shortly before the pandemic hit, we had the chance to sit down with one of our frequent collaborators while he was in the states, over from South Africa. We talked about what we had planned for the future, his role in Jetpack 2, but more so what he wanted to do next in his. After a pause, the answer he came back with was a drill pack. After months of reiterating his desire and excitement to make this pack, we shuffled our release slate while the universe shuffled all of our plans, Jon Casey's Drill Trap (pack) is finally here. Jon Casey's Drill Trap was inspired by newer artists like Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign & AXL BEATS. This pack isn't about recreating the drill style in a paint by numbers cash grab, it's about keeping the integrity of the format while adding our own special ingredients and Jon's style. For an added bonus, we brought in SVGAR to round out some stylistic elements to nail some key Trappings.

Since leaving Aftermath Records, Nikki has gone on to diversify her portfolio by adding acting, voiceovers, and touring to the pot. Nylon String Guitar is a collection performed by Mike Bono and mixed by Charles Van Kirk. Criolla Latin Percussion
New Orleans-based producer Erick Bardales teamed up with percussionist Manuel “Manotas” Ramirez to offer up classic salsa rhythms with a modern twist. Using a Looptrotter Emperor Limiter, Elysia Xfilter EQ, and Retro 176, they applied modern processing and sound design while maintaining the integrity of traditional salsa instruments. Guaranteed to add some heat, we hope these energizing sounds find a home in your productions. This pack was recorded remotely with Ramirez in Tennessee and Bardales at his New Orleans studio using TeamViewer and Listento by Audiomovers.
Soviet Post-Punk Tapes
Deemed ‘unofficial’ up until the mid-80’s, Soviet Post-Punk and New Wave bands had to self-distribute their records via illicit ‘magnetizdat’ tapes and were only allowed to play live shows in a handful of strictly monitored venues. Barred from state-run studios, underground musicians had to record their works in small communal apartments, with low budget instruments and makeshift DIY gear, thus setting themselves apart from the more polished sounds coming from the West. This collection comes fully equipped with samples scored from rare Soviet synths, worn out guitars, old handheld radios, improvised effects processors and battered up drum-machines, all tracked on cassette and reel-to-reel tapes.

So, where a snare is hit in a normal groove, a snare was (imaginatively) hit in this pack.This pack has loops recorded on various sized hihats played across a very wide range of tempos and detailed one shots recorded on 13 through to 16 inch hihats.
