Garden Toys, a Petal Supply moment
Canadian producer, songwriter, and vocalist Petal Supply has gained rapid momentum in the experimental pop world after only a handful of releases, working as both a producer and vocalist with Himera, Laura Les, Rebecca Black, and umru. Her 11-minute single “1” ranked #22 on NPR’s top 100 songs of 2021. We caught up with the 909 Worldwide member at trendy Bushwick bar Rash to chat ‘Garden Toys’, a sample collection merging her signature bouncy, elastic sound design with elements of trance and hardstyle in a high-pitched, melodic pop context. “I’ve gathered some of my favorite sounds I’ve made for my own music, as well as looking for new ways to make sounds with tools I’m less familiar with. LOWTOW is proud to present a massive "DREAM JOB" Guitar Loop Kit with 609 files on the Traktrain store. These include one-shots and loops in various styles recorded on 5 different guitars. The included loops can be used in a variety of genres: Hip-Hop, Trap, Emo Rap, Alternative and Lo-Fi. Certainly, the "DREAM JOB" kit focuses on delivering the essence of the modern styles of music the guitar is prevalent in. Firstly, metal: heavy and evil riffs that make your blood boil and fill your heart with desire for something epic. Secondly, pop-punk: chords that fill you with youthful energy and optimism. Further, emo: drawn-out melodies and enveloping harmonies that invoke the feeling of nostalgia and memories of mental sores. In addition, there are acoustic and dark categories, whose names speak for themselves. Common theme loops are joined, usually in groups of three, so you can get creative with editing and mixing.
Sonidero: Cumbia Reggaeton
Produced by Honduran American musician Erick Bardales in Los Angeles, CA, this Splice Originals collection explores the connections between various genres of Latin music with a strong focus on Mexican cumbia reggaeton. This pack was performed and recorded remotely by Tegucigalpa, Honduras-based composer and producer Jorge Ulloa on guitar and piano, and Nashville, TN-based Venezuelan percussionist Manuel “Manotas” Ramirez on gon bops along with engineer Gibran Sponchiado. The three musicians blended their love for vallenato - a genre of popular Colombian folk music - with Mexican cumbia and modern reggaeton pop to craft an authentic entry point for producers interested in creating cumbia reggaeton music. This pack was recorded using a wide variety of instruments from acoustic instruments like a Taylor GS Mini E Rosewood and a Les Paul Epiphone Ukulele to electric guitars such as a Fender Telecaster 1978 Sunburst and Gibson SG, plus Ramirez’s gon bops. The performed samples were processed using an Apollo X4, Universal Audio’s analog emulation UAD plugins, Ableton live 11, Plugin Alliance plugins, and Output Thermal.

Test Press proudly presents another artist pack by ENEI, a figure who has significantly shaped the Drum and Bass scene with his unique sound and style.ENEI delivered a selection of high-quality samples and presets for Serum and Vital.ENEI's musical journey began in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2003. A young Alexey Egorchenkov, with a growing fascination for Drum and Bass, started experimenting with his own production and DJing. As he adopted the artist name ENEI, his career started to flourish, earning him a star status in Russia and beyond. However, it was in 2007 that his career truly took off.ENEI's journey to success continued as he earned his first official release on the Dutch label Fokuz. This was just the beginning, as others began to drop on other imprints such as Blu Saphir, Cyanide and Citrus throughout 2008 and 2009. His productions and profile began to take shape, catching the attention of a particular eagle-eyed label boss, renowned for his supreme A&R'ing. It wasn't long before the phone call from Critical Music bossman, Kasra, who secured the first ENEI release on Critical at the end of 2010. This was a significant milestone in ENEI's career, leading to his exclusive signing with Critical in 2011.
