Ambient Meditations with Laraaji
For Slice Originals: Ambient Meditations, we teamed up with the legendary meditation and ambient sound musician, Laraaji to compile a collection of sounds specifically aimed toward guided meditation, spa soundtracks, and general relaxation. Every loop is twice the length of a standard loop to accommodate the composition and arrangement of meditative soundscapes. Adding a special gift, Laraaji contributed his own guided meditation voiceover that’s a body scan and Bija Mantra for balancing chakras. In conjunction with recordings of his electric zither autoharp at Aura studios in Brooklyn, we curated Serum synth patches, ambient field recordings, and processed his voice to create a palette of sounds perfect for relaxation.
Elegant Strings
Stylistically, Splice Originals: Elegant Strings takes a chamber pop approach, incorporating elements of baroque vocals and classical figures—all under the backdrop of modern pop harmonies. A home quarantine pack, it was recorded in a farm studio in New Hampshire by violinist and violist, Josh Henderson and cellist, Julia Henderson. You’ll find four-part harmony string arrangements with two violins, one viola, and one cello part each. Each voice was layered three times for a larger section sound. Although these arrangements are elegant in nature with a classical feel, the tinges of R&B and soul found in the harmonies lend these sounds well to modern productions across trap, pop, R&B, and soul.

Cruels: Sad Neon Sounds Sample Pack Vol. II
CRUELS is a future nu-90s house and R&B producer from San Francisco, CA. Born Giovanni Giusti, the CRUELS name was given to him by his uncle, an Italian farmer from the small village of Anchiano. His uncle often read the book Contes Cruels (Cruels Tales), a series of short stores from 19th Century France. Giusti adopted the book’s title and the CRUELS project was born. Since, he's developed trap sounds with neon-tinged house music influences. Use these sounds for instilling an electric dark-wave vibe into your productions.

Modern Folk
DrumDrops Modern Folk is a painstakingly recorded selection of modern-sounding live folk-rock drum tracks taking influence from a range of modern folk songs and artists with a few old classics thrown in. The tracks were played by legendary drummer Martyn Barker (Robert Plant, Rufus Wainwright, Billy Bragg, Peggy Seeger) and recorded and mixed by the incredible producer/engineer Phill Brown (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, John Martyn, David Bowie, Ray Davies, Arthur Brown). Recorded at the historic Livingston Studios in London in the brighter sounding live room this kit was close mic’d using the incredible selection of microphones in Livingston’s collection. The kit used was Martyn’s 1980’s Gretsch Maple 4416 Kit.The drum tracks take reference from Artists such as Ray La Montagne, Elliot Smith, Bon Iver, Goldfrapp, Little Feat and Bombay Bicycle Club amongst others. Ranging in tempo from 80 BPM to 184 BPM there is a huge range of tracks and grooves to choose from, played with both brushes and hot rods.For the sound Phill Brown close mic’d this kit in a modern recording style. Mics used were classic drum mics – AKG D112 on the Kick, Shure SM57s on the Snare, Sennheiser 421’s on the toms, KM84 on the Ride and Hi-Hat, Coles 4038’s as overheads and two room mics – a Sony C48 and Neumann U89. These pick up the ambience of the drum room. All of the mics were recorded through the SSL G-Series mic pre’s and recorded straight to 2” tape on a Studer A80 with a 16 track headblock before being transferred into Pro Tools.The 1980’s Gretsch Maple 4416 Kit consists of a 22” x 16” Kick drum, 10” x 7”, 12” x 9” and 13” x 10” Rack Toms and a 16” x 16” Floor Tom. The snares used were a combination of two Ludwig Snares. A Ludwig 400 14” x 5” and Martyn’s Ludwig Brass Shell 14” x 6.5”. Cymbals used were Zildjian Top Rock 14” Hi-hats, a 20” Rock Ride, an 18” Zildjian Paper Thin Crash and an 18” Plain Paiste Crash. On a number of tracks we added shakers and tambourines.Martyn Barker has had a career playing the drums professionally for over 30 years. He started his career with the band Shriekback and is a busy session drummer recording and touring. Martyn has played for artists such as Martha and Rufus Wainwright, Richard Hawley, Katherine Williams, Lou Reed, Peggy Seeger and he also played drums on Joe Boyd’s ‘Way To Blue'.
David Oliver's Rhythmic Odyssey Vol. 1
Rhythmic Odyssey is a flexible loop-based modular loop library organized by song, track stem and individual loops. This deep and stylistically expansive collection focuses on dynamic live tuned and untuned percussion performances by British instrumentalist and media composer David Oliver. David has unleashed his massive collection of drums, percussion and rare world instruments, with powerful, authentic and spirited performances that are carefully and perfectly hand-crafted for easy direct use in films, games and all other forms of multimedia. He captured an incredible variety of percussion instruments and objects, exploring everything from drum kits to raw pine tree logs. This library spans a huge range of styles and genres, from traditional ethnic arrangements and combos, to raw, hard-driving percussion beds and huge rock grooves. Each song is a tonally rich and creatively inspired piece, with unique arrangements and exotic instrumental selections from all over the world. This enormous variety of sounds and rhythmic variations is powered by an innovative interface and powerful engine features to provide you with a massive tool box and endless creative possibilities. Each of David Oliver’s original rhythmic compositions included within this library has been broken down into up to a dozen modular seamless loops, with natural musical development and dynamic progression evolving naturally from intro and build-up to climactic release. Each track’s loop collection is split into an average 8 discreet solo/sub-mix tracks, as well as wet and dry stereo master tracks. LIBRARY CONCEPT Diverse groove, suspense, pulse, flow and textures are often occurring themes in David’s recordings in his quest to create adventurous rhythms. David explores rhythmic ideas that are often off the well trodden path as well as familiar simple and complex. Inventive organic ensemble hand & stick drum and percussion performances lead him on a musical recording journey with Sound Iron to create a unique kit specifically designed for composers at all levels. After consultation with some well-respected film composers, a pattern emerged that the sounds and performances in his percussion library needed to include a broad range of styles, complexities and world music genres, with plenty of scope for rearranging and editing. They also needed unique expressive endings with decay and suspense, making the collection stand out from other ‘loops only’ libraries. This project is a natural extension of the style that David has been exploring for years, so his instrument and rhythmic choices have enabled him to express his signature style, experience and imagination on a much grander scale, embarking on a two-year journey which has culminated in Soundiron’s David Oliver’s Rhythmic Odyssey. Every instrument and ensemble performance has variation throughout. When listened to in their original tempo, clip order and length, you can hear the natural sense of build, ebb and flow and crescendo or fall off. Variation in performances throughout each piece and meticulous editing make this collection a valuable resource for composers needing to add spice to or fundamental impact in their own distinctive recordings. The aim is to evoke the listener to journey across cultural borders, expansive ambient plains, through dense jungles and mountainous peaks in cinematic dramas through pulsing grooves to dramatic crescendos with suspenseful endings and fall offs which are unique in its library category. RECORDING HARDWARE The recording was done by David in his converted barn studio in Somerset UK with; Logic Pro X for Mac - Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 - Focusrite OctoPre MK2 pre amp. Microphones include; Audio Technica AE2500 - Aston Origin - AKG C1000S - Shure PG 81 - Shure SM58s - Sontronics STC1 stereo pair - Sennheiser Evolution E604 - AKG D112.
Hologram Loop Kit By Noria
The "Hologram" guitar kit contains 200 original samples, mostly nostalgic guitar loop melodies inspired by artists such as Lil Peep, Deftones and Radiohead.Composed and played by Noria, a talented guitarist and producer with an established online presence, these loops mostly feature post-processing effects such as ethereal delays and reverbs, which could also make them suitable for styles such as Alternative or Indie Rock. They can, however, be used in a multitude of genres, and this is due to both dry and wet versions of each loop being available in the kit.This sample pack aims to offer quality as well as flexibility. For example, you can find strummed chords, clean lead melodies, organic guitar sound effects, synth loops, and soft background pads. Some songs sound dark and nostalgic, making them more fitting for emo rap or shoegaze, while others could sound brighter and happier. Ultimately, you can find a variety of loops in this kit, and it's never been so easy to create nostalgic guitar beats with this loop pack.

These are the touchstones for SM63 Detroit Techno - an expansive 1.3GB exploration of the city that defined a genre. Bursting with 100s of authentic drum machine rhythms, subliminal bass, hypnotic dub chords, sleek arpeggiated leads, spartan analogue synths, atmospheric pads and classic hardware FX, Detroit Techno is an authentic take on one of the most important movements in electronic music. Loops are served and 125, 128 and 130bpm and are key-labeled where applicable.
Zed Bias - 90's UK G
Test Press presents '90s UK G' from non-other than UK Garage legend Zed Bias. The collection delivers a blend of classic UKG influences and current club-ready grooves. Dave Jones, better known as Zed Bias, is an English electronic musician based in Manchester who operates as a producer and DJ in the UK garage/2-step, broken beat, and UK funky genres. He has also released material under various pseudonyms, including Maddslinky, and was previously one-half of the Phuturistix duo. Featured on vocals is Felicia Temple, a singer, songwriter, and producer from New Jersey. She honed her skills at the famed Village Underground in New York City before making her breakthrough as a contestant on season 12 of NBC's The Voice. Her success introduced her to an international fanbase. Soon, she was touring prolifically, both as a solo artist and supporting Grammy-nominated singer Deborah Cox and the Whitney Houston Hologram Tour. Her sultry sound is known amongst industry greats. Felicia's most recent release, 'The Balancing Act,' a six-track EP, debuted at #22 on the iTunes R&B chart. She has since amassed almost two million streams on all digital platforms viewed over eight million times on YouTube.
Sunday Scene
What initially started as a series of Sunday morning after-parties at various venues including The Gass Club, Elephant & Castle, and The Arches, the 'Sunday Scene' kickstarted and pioneered one of London's most culturally important music scenes. Although to begin with the DJ's were spinning (almost exclusively) US house tracks and dubs by the likes of Masters at Work & MK, they played these records at a much faster tempo, creating the essential energy and flow needed to re-invigorate ravers who'd (mostly) been across the road at the Ministry of Sound all night. In total, there are over 250 sounds comprising vibe-heavy organs, resampled rompler keys, weighty sub-basses, crunchy analogue kicks, and busy hi-hat grooves, all with just the right amount of 12-bit dirt. Don't expect clean and pristine audio - grit, hiss, and noise is the order of the day when recreating the analogue workflows of the mid-90s, and comes courtesy of various in-house hardware which includes an Akai S3000, Roland SP-404A and our trusty MPC. In future collections to complement this one, we'll be exploring the more musical, gospel-influenced US house and Jersey sounds as well as the seminal sounds of prominent labels like Nice N Ripe, but this edition focuses on the ruffer cut-up riddims and bumpy basslines that gave this era it's distinct ‘London attitude’ and unmistakable UK vibe.
Sander Van Doorn: The Ultimate Sample Collection
Sander van Doorn is a generation-defining artist that has reshaped our perception of what dance music can be. With no desire to stick to just one genre, he has created his own, inimitable sound and style. He entered the musical scene in 1995 at age sixteen. His brother’s Roland Groovebox 303 caught his attention. He was astounded when he first experienced the amount of creativity electronic music unleashed. Time and time again, Sander would borrow his brother’s Groovebox and his nephew’s vinyl records, playing the life out of them. Komorebi Audio Presents Lofi Hip Hop Vocals and Vinyl Scratch Loops - An all vocal sample pack inspired by the golden age of hip hop. The vocals in this pack are provided by South London native, Jamell René. The session was engineered and mixed at Pirate Studios by Komorebi Audio boss, Skit. To capture the vintage feel we recorded the vocals through a Shure SM7b microphone which gained legendary status among recording engineers after its use on many early hip hop recordings and most notably, Michael Jackson’s album Thriller. The vocal loops were then further manipulated, scratched and chopped by West London based DJ, Complexion. Complexion is best known for hosting and curating the future beats radio show, his multiple performances on Boiler Room and DJing for artists such as Little Simz, Bonkaz and alongside Joe Kay of Soulection. This pack is inspired by the vocals and scratch patterns of the 80’s and early 90’s but was made to be used as a tool to add a dusty vintage feel to current music. All files are provided as 24-bit WAV recordings and are ready to drag and drop into your Hip Hop, Lofi Beats and Rap Instrumentals. IMPORTANT NOTICE: This pack contains vocal samples only. Lush Rhythm Sections is a universally applicable collection of gorgeous down-tempo song starters made to instantly inject an easy groove into your next production. Pick from a range of loops that were recorded on live drums, felt piano and electric guitar and meticulously recorded one-shots ready-made to throw into the sampler. The harmonic inspirations range from Jazz and R&B to Americana with addictive instrumental splits will slot beautifully into pre-existing tracks. The production style is lush and full spectrum; the sounds were recorded with high quality ribbon microphones and tube condensers into Class A pre-amplifers. They were mixed through a Neve analog summing mixer. This pack features acclaimed New York session musicians Christian Li and Mike Bono on piano and guitar, respectively. Maine based producer Charles Van Kirk played drums and mixed the pack. Individually they have performed with Erykah Badu, Danilo Perez, Ben Street and Joe Lovano at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Newport Jazz Festival and numerous Broadway theaters. Their work has been nominated for an Emmy and has appeared on commercials for Apple, Google, Ralph Lauren, National Geographic among others.
Moo Latte - Soulful Moods
Moo Latte is an African rooted Polish producer based in Copenhagen. He is educated both as a classical and jazz instrumentalist and composer. Currently active on the international music scene he is responsible for releases with such names as Bitamina, Soia, Elijah Fox, Chelsea Reject, Kinkai, Marie Dahlstrom and many other artists from Europe and US. As a producer Moo Latte navigates between genres like hip hop, soul, jazz and ethnic music. He develops his personal sound by combining samples, acoustic instruments and synthesizers. In the Soulful MOOds Sample Pack he has gathered his most personal sounds of electric hollow body jazz guitar, vintage electric pianos and some carefully crafted synth patches and self recorded drum and percussion sounds that will inspire any producer within the wide range of genres from Lo-fi hip hop to Soulful beats or Future Bass. The loops, riffs and melodies have a characteristic human feel and will be perfect to pitch and stretch around to get an own and personal sound in just couple of seconds. Gospel music in the African American Church has been a backbone of soul and black music for decades. Countless recording artists and musicians can have their musical roots traced back to the local church, whether it was them singing their first solo with the church choir or backing up the preacher on drums as a first instrument, this story is all to common. “Reverence,” is a sample pack inspired by these musical roots that our team knows all too well being first hand products of it.
