What set apart Star Wars from other sci-fi movies at the time of release was how "lived-in" the world felt - ships were rusted, bars were musty and dirty, clothes showed wear and tear. Intricate R&B Guitar
This is the third sample pack from NYC guitarist Mike Bono. Mike is a regular on Broadway and is fresh off of session work with the legendary songwriter Max Martin. This pack showcases Mike's harmonic range inspired by R&B, hip hop and jazz. This is not a collection with predictable and square choices; the voicings are lush and distinctive. These loops will open your mind to fresh possibilities and creations. All of the sounds for this pack were recorded through a 1940’s Filmosound Amplifier, with a 12 inch Celestion Creamback speaker. The guitars used were a ‘69 Gibson SG, and a Fender Telecaster with humbuckers. Previous Splice Sonic Collective packs from Mike include “Indie Acoustic Guitar” and “Nylon String Guitar”. These packs were mixed by Charles Van Kirk.

Michael focused on capturing the intimate sound of the nail contacting the strings, ethereal ebow sheets of sound, enchanting charango passages & danceable stems influenced by the music of Mexico, South and Central America.
Sun/Sets Dream RnB
Sun/Sets: Dream R&B was created in collaboration with guitarist Greg Matthews, a Brooklyn-based music producer and songwriter who performs as Yellow Shoots. He laid down guitar arrangements that range in style from pop to psych-rock, from soul to R&B. Then the Splice Originals production team layered some Astra synth keys and drums on top. The result is a suite of dreamy, glittery sounds sure to make any head bop, drawing influences from dream pop acts like Mac Demarco and Teen Daze to R&B artists Jazmine Sullivan and Jai Paul.
Antidrum 3: Experimental Percussion & Effects
Antidrum 3 is a mighty compendium of experimental multi-sampled percussion, melodic sustaining and special effects instruments, created from a vast catalogue of field recordings, found sounds, prepared objects, unique surfaces and noisy contraptions. It’s an extraordinarily powerful toolbox of musical paint, spanning a full spectrum with everything from rich bass tones and boomers to tight clicks, clacks, clangs, thuds, zings, clanks, pings, bangs and zips. But don’t let the name fool you — Antidrum 3 covers much more than just percussive content. We’ve captured electronics, tonally resonant surfaces, alarms, appliances, electric toothbrushes, elevators, cattle, giant plate glass windows and all manner of other things to get some awesome melody-making sonic flavors as well. We captured each of these sounds over a 3-year period throughout our many travels around California and Texas, picking up everything from the mundane yet startlingly musical things you’d find around the house to unique one-of-a-kind sounds we discovered out in the field. Open your mind and this library can take you anywhere you want to go. All of the sample content is included as standard open PCM wav files to allow you easy access to manipulate, reprogram and customize the sounds however you wish. This library was recorded in a number of different indoor and outdoor environments, out in the elements and often in uncontrolled conditions. You may hear ambient noises, such as wind, wildlife, creaks, thuds, cracks and room tone in the background in some samples, depending on the recording location and subject matter being recorded. Our goal is to preserve and accentuate the natural human qualities in our instruments without overly sterilizing the recordings.

Nik Tourbis is a known Afro-Beat Percussionist and teaches students from all around the world the art and techniques of Latin and Tribal Brazilian Percussion styles. Vintage Keys With Aron Magner
Warm vintage keyboards of a certain analog ilk decorate the wallpaper of our memories, filling us with a nostalgic glow often sought but seldom captured. Analog jazz keyboards, in particular, have stoked the fires of sample-based genres, from hip hop to house to hasn’t-been-named-yet. We enlisted Aron Magner and his keys to take us to that memory place. Magner is a jazz keyboardist, a founding member of Disco Biscuits, and the creator of the often-destination-based music festival Camp Bisco. More importantly, Magner’s got something right with his fingers. He showed us what’s what in the classic pop, disco, and jazz styles with some of our favorite vintage keys and some surprises, including his go-to synth: the Access Virus TI2. He also laid down melodies, bass lines, and chords on a Moog Model D, a Prophet T8, a Wurlitzer 200A, a Clavinet D6, a Juno 60, electric piano and Korg Poly 61. The drums came from the rare Gibson Maestro and Acetone FR1 drum machines. We recorded Magner’s performance through Neve 1081 and 1073 preamps and outboard effects.
Middle East Essentials - Guitars
The Middle East Essentials series by Gio Israel sets the goal of bringing together Middle Eastern masters and prodigies, capturing the most diverse, high-quality, and unique musical material. Making ancient music, sounds and instruments accessible through state-of-the-art sound sampling. In this pack we explore contemporary, electric Middle Eastern guitars, bringing out the spicy edge of Middle Eastern sounds. We recorded the Turkish ‘Baglama’ and electric guitars played by the very gifted Omri Zelig. Over the course of many hours we recorded various styles and rhythms, making this pack accessible to as many genres of music production as we could. The Baglama (also known as ‘Saz’) has Persian/Turkish origins and is commonly used in Ottoman classical music, Turkish folk, Azerbaijani, Kurdish, and Armenian music and in areas of Syria, Iraq and the Balkan countries. We hope you’ll enjoy this one.
Dungy Bins
Digging is synonymous with hip-hop culture. The producers and DJ’s who put the genre on their back have popularized the art of digging for records into a past-time for any one who takes the craft seriously. In order to bring back the feeling of finding that diamond in the rough, we created the Dungy Bins sample pack, our newest collection of sample loops with all the right dust and dirt on each and every sound. Every producer who samples has a tendency to pride themselves on those “rare finds”.
