Shook Rhythms

Heavyweight drums programmed with surgical precision and stutter-step syncopation are the foundation of left-field legend Cassius Select’s productions. Shook Rhythms finds the Canadian producer in top form for his first sample collection on Rubicon. 

Influenced by Timbaland drums and Pharrell textures, Cassius Select crafts bass music with a nod to hip hop beatmaking, setting his work and sound palette apart from the techno community in which he operates. “I wanted to the loops to have space so the ideas could be fleshed out by the producer,” says Cassius Select. “The way I like cutting loops is completely rearranging and chopping them, so hopefully this pack lends itself to that.” 

A collection to inspire countless kits and hours of explorations, Shook Rhythms is a beatmaker’s treasure trove truly worthy of being downloaded in full.
