Ol' Dirty Samples
Ol’ Dirty Samples pays homage to the old school East Coast hip hop vibes of the basement studio. Walls of dusty records, buzzing hardware, and 16-pad samplers. A collection of grungy re-sampled loops, low bitrate piano chops, gritty drums, and nostalgic vocal stacks created in collaboration with Arthouse Acoustics. We recorded live with pro players including vintage pianos, double bass, soulful guitars, and full vocal choir stacks. Every composition was mixed, mastered, and then heavily re-sampled to create MPC style chops and cuts and nostalgic song-starters and one-shots. We employed heavy tape saturation, downsampling, pitched and reversed techniques to soak every loop with authentic golden era feel. Arthouse Acoustics raided their exclusive live drums, breaks, and percussion recording archives, chopping and processing unique hits to create a vintage-style kit perfect for boom bap and lo-fi hip hop.

Moving to London 9 years ago from her hometown of Roskilde in Denmark - Dahlstrøm made a significant name for herself, instantly becoming recognised by her warm, jazz-tinged, soulful R&B vocal tones. Since the release of her 2011 EP ‘Feelings’ – Dahlstrøm has elegantly toed the line between Jazz, R&B, and Hiphop, taking her fans on quite the journey over these past 9 years. Grunge Melodics
Taking shape in 80's Seattle, grunge took the world by storm in 1991, with highly influential albums dethroning some of the biggest pop-stars of all time. Over-produced, posey and shallow acts were swiftly being replaced with bands that adopted a DIY sonic palette, had a modest, unassuming look and spoke to the disenchanted youth through introspective lyrics that touched on social alienation, addiction, self-doubt, helplessness and trauma. Hard rock merged with punk and hardcore, with added elements of noise, indie rock and metal, welding screeching riffs slathered in fuzz and distortion, down-tuned arpeggios and grinding baselines with raw, galvanized drums and gruff, angsty vocals.

Vintage Rhythm Boxes
As the third installment of the rhythm box series recorded at the epic synth store and warehouse, Three Wave Music in New Jersey, this pack celebrates the true classics. It explores the sounds of the Acetone FR-1 and FR-2L, as well as the Univox SR-55. The Acetone was a precursor to Roland, so you could say the FR-1 is the great great grandfather of the 808. Univox was a precursor to Korg. We took two approaches to this pack. We captured and shared the raw, unfiltered sounds these instruments produce and transformed some of them to create something entirely new to fit into any modern production.

TR From Mars is a collection of one-hit samples from the most iconic drum machine series of all time. Since the 80s, these machines have defined entire eras and genres of music, and are still widely used today. All sounds have been sourced directly from the 505, 606, 626, 707, 727, 808, & 909, recorded through our API 1608 console and high end conversion - these samples are the real deal! You’ll get both clean versions and hardware processed versions of each drum machine, with additional tuning, circuit bending and re-sampling (via classics such as the SP1200 and MPC60). So whether you’re after a museum quality replica sound of the original, or a funked out, dirty alternative to a classic, we’ve got you covered!

fortuneswan is a Central Florida native producer and instrumentalist known for their luscious locks and electric licks. With eclectic cross-genre influences that includes rap, jazz, pop, hardcore, and EDM to name a few, they’ve proven to be versatile in every step of hit-making. Golden Axe is a culmination of all fortuneswan’s expertise in a guitar pack, taking cues from pop, jazz, emo, metal, math rock, and more, bundled with a unique modern pop twist. High Tea 'Melodic Jump Up & Future Neuro'
High Tea Music is back on Splice with their third release, “High Tea Melodic Jump Up and Future Neuro”. This time, they venture into the futuristic realms of Drum & Bass, stepping away from their signature dancefloor sound.But don’t worry, they didn’t go blindly into the unknown. They brought along some of the most talented and skilled artists in the scene to contribute to the pack. You’ll find some serious drum, bass, synth and effect samples and presets by Basstripper, BLVCK CROWZ, T & Sugah, Josh Lovis/Trinist, Fryware and Falcon, that will help you craft modern and fresh melodic jump up and neurofunk tunes.And that’s not all. The Vamp
Quartet Gospel music is one of the earliest and most traditional styles that make up the roots and foundation of gospel. Originating in the southern regions of America sung by blacks who were enslaved on plantations, it was a musical tradition that brought unity, solace, and hope in the face of adversity. The tradition has carried on long after slavery and has gone on to not only be a foundation in gospel music (with legendary and pioneering music from groups like the Mighty Clouds of Joy, The 5 Blind Boys of Alabama, and The Dixie Hummingbirds to name a few) but it served as a bridge to be a major proponent in the foundation of soul and early pop music with acts like Lou Rawls, Johnnie Taylor, Wilson Pickett, Otis Clay and Sam Cooke tracing their roots to the genre. This music style highlights four part vocal harmonies with much of the content being about conversion and salvation. The Sound Doctrine team had grammy award winning producer and gospel music pioneer Dana Sorey help us channel these authentic sounds at CBlake studios along with highly decorated instrumentalists and producers, Morgan Turner, Antwann Easton, and our very own Leonard “Pudge” Tribbett with accompanying vocals from gospel recording artist “Jay Todd.” We present to Splice users “The Vamp,” a homage to the gospel of old that we know is useful for any producer today!
