Towerz' Lofi Picnic
Towerz is a producer and musician based out of Boston who focuses on the creation of warm and soothing music using ear candy and deep chords. Towerz has been featured on labels like Chilled Cow, College Music, Sonder House, Effortless, Dreamhop, and a few others. His latest sample pack entitled "lofi picnic" represents a host of soothing loops and one shots created in the "lofi" frame of mind. These samples can be represented by multiple genres, but seeks its focus in calming and naturalistic music. He used several live instruments that were recorded in multiple locations including towerz' home studio, outdoor locations, and even a large ambient church. These sounds are meant to provide a soothing backbone to any tune, as well as create the sensation of ear candy for the listener.

Dub Reggae
Dub Reggae is the follow-up to Splice Sessions’ first Island Reggae pack from our studio time at Anguilla Music Academy. Dub music originated as a subgenre of reggae and is characterized by remixes significantly manipulating the original recording, usually through the removal of vocal parts, emphasis on the rhythm section (the stripped-down drum-and-bass track is known as a riddim in the reggae dub communities), the use of studio effects such as echo and reverb, and the occasional dubbing of vocal or instrumental snippets from another piece of music or sound. Bautismo
For the Bautismo pack, producer Erick Bardales took inspiration from his previous Latin trap-style Splice pack, Comunion. He kept the dark vibes as a foundation, adding brighter and more textural sounds along with bouncier drums. For the melody loops, Bardales designed patches using a Moog Subsequent 37, Arturias Analog Lab, and an ANA 2 Sampler. Then he processed them heavily using a Chase Bliss Blooper FX pedal and Chase Bliss Generation Loss MKII, Output Thermal, Flex Beat by Akai, and other plugins. He employed the Izotope Transient Shaper to make the drums and 808s knock.
Toolroom Academy: 90s Deep House
Packed with shuffling drums, lo-fi grooves, retro synths, and effortless basslines, 90’s Deep House provides an essential throwback to the origins of house music from the yesteryear. We teamed up with Grammy-Award winning percussionist Nate Werth to record his eclectic collection of percussive objects. Nate built his career by fusing traditional and non-traditional percussion instruments to transmit his roundhouse-punch polyrhythms and teeth-chattering grooves, which earned him collaborations with artists from every genre and generation you’d imagine, and many you wouldn’t (Snarky Puppy, Q-Tip, and David Crosby in the same breath). He brings this same curiosity and skill to his explorations and performance for Splice, playing everything from African frame drums adorned with shimmering, ornamental rings to brass elephant bells from India. We captured everything at Atlantic Studios in Brooklyn with an array of different mics running through Neve 1073 pre-amps, then chopped the recordings into this collection of hypnotic loops and one-shots. Stylistically, this pack is agnostic, containing both pin-drop and heart-pounding percussion. Use it on anything that requires labyrinthine rhythms and dust-shaking drum breaks, from ambient to anger-core.
