Pepocket: LoFi Drums
Pepocket LoFi Drums is a collection of more than 200 loops and one shots recorded at Luna Studios in Los Angeles, CA by Chilean drummer & engineer Pepe Hidalgo Ramos. This pack features Pepe’s favorite vintage drums, which include a 60’s Ludwig and Slingerland bass drums, a 1920’s Leedy, 60’s & 70’s Ludwig and 70’s Slingerland snare drums, plus 1950’s Zildjian & Turkish Hi Hats, Dream Cymbals rides, and some custom modified Zildjian & Istanbul crashes. All drums and cymbals were also recorded in tandem with percussion to extend the sonic possibilities and create uniquely layered sounds. Pepocket includes a variety of processed, distorted, compressed, crunchy, roomy and powerful beats that will inspire your next project, with a massive range of tempos. All loops & one shots were played, recorded & engineered by Pepe Hidalgo, with mix and sound design by Alejandro Vega from nu.wav. Thanks to Fito Otero for producing the demo. Please note that this is a drum pack only and does not contain any melodic content.

SLAP! Drums: Italian Beats and Breaks is a collection of hard-hitting acoustic drum breaks perfect for making neck-breaking beats with a human feel. This sample pack was recorded at Pyramid Produzioni, a recording studio in Trastevere, the heart of Rome, Italy. Performed by Federico Romeo and recorded/produced by Luca Gaudenzi, this pack includes 35 drum loops and 100 one-shots, all recorded through a combination of analog preamps and vintage microphones. Federico utilized various drum kits and microphone combinations, to achieve a collection of unique and hard-hitting drum loops and one-shots. Federico is a first-call drummer for Italy’s burgeoning soul and hip-hop scene. He regularly performs with Davide Shorty, Aine, Serena Brancale, and RBSN. With a variety of grooves at different tempos and meticulously curated percussion one-shots, adding SLAP! Drums to your tracks are the extra sauce you need to gently but firmly slap your tracks in the face. LEX Sounds curate sample packs from an international roster of award-winning live musicians and music producers. SLAP! Drums is the first in a series of sample packs that will feature musicians from Rome, Italy.
Dazed Guitars with Luke O'Malley
Luke O'Malley joined us at Aura Studio in Brooklyn, NY with all of his homemade guitars, amazing pedals, and super rare modded amps to lay down the summer sounds of Dazed Guitars. He primarily used a Chase Bliss Bass Board to record chords, rips, notes, and melodies through various classic effects. The pack embraces visions of the past through a lens of the future, primed for classic songs with futuristic sounds. He drew from his experience playing with The Antibalas Afrobeat Band, The Roots, Mark Ronson, Usher, Pharrell, Justin Timberlake, and John Mayer in crafting these sounds. These effected guitar sounds belong on desert road trips, in summer soundtracks, accompanying afternoons by the pool, in R&B jams, or even garage-psych rippers.
Retrograde: Vintage Soul
“Retrograde” is a release of original vintage soul samples that are classic yet contemporary. There’s soul guitar as a centerpiece to these loops that producers could use to build around or to add pro instrumentation and chord voicings to their songs. At 15 lush and musical melodic loops, containing corresponding instrument stems along with 15 Astra synth presets, this pack doesn’t cut corners on adding useful tools to any producer’s sound library.
Classic Riddims Vol. 3: Lovers Rock
In our 3rd installment of “Classic Riddims”, we bring you Vol. 3: Lovers Rock. Inspired by the romantic croonings of Reggae legends like Beres Hammond, Freddie McGregor, and Johnny Osbourne, this third volume brings 15 authentic and high quality loops all featuring drum loops, and live instrumentation. This pack was created by Matthew Smythe (compositions, organ, piano, synths, trumpet, trombone), Kikah Jackson (drums) and Nick Braham (bass, saxophone).
Cloudy Trap
Influenced by the lighter side of the darkness of trap, Cloudy Trap focuses on the more ethereal, or floaty, style of melodies used by artists like Lil Uzi Vert on Erase Your Social or Trippie Redd's Personal Favorite. Our sound designers came up with a fresh take on a new classic and even included some trap punk vibes with perfect reverbs and delays that keep it sonically (and psychedelically) original and while remaining current. As far as drums go, Q and Sober Rob brought their own interpretations of familiar trap sounds layered with their own sauciness.

“Processional” is our second Sound Doctrine label installment of resampled styled loops. This special pack was created with the intent of giving producers easy moments for looping and sampling, while also giving them song starters that are full of rich instrumentation and composition. Among the loops available there are resampled stems of choir background vocals accompanied by real organ and upright piano loops that really portray the heart of Gospel’s sound in church. With over half a gig of sounds available in this release we know producers will find much use with these tools for a wide array of projects.

This sample pack includes traditional chord progressions and melodies inspired by the bluegrass, folk and old-time music of the Appalachian region. It features banjo, dobro, mandolin and acoustic guitar performed by Bennett Sullivan. Bennett is an Asheville based multi-instrumentalist who was raised with the sounds of bluegrass music in North Carolina. He has featured alongside Steve Martin and Edie Brickell in the acclaimed Broadway Musical, "Bright Star" and has also shared the stage with Jim Lauderdale, Weird Al Yankovic and Ben Sollee. The pack was edited and mixed by Maine based producer Charles Van Kirk.
