Dazecore, a dazegxd moment
Behind all the Jet Set Radio snippets, the Panty & Stocking clips, and general Twitter shenanigans, there is but one 19-year-old DJ ready to take over the world of dance as we know it today. This… is dazegxd — a multitalented artist on a multidisciplinary label, deadAir Records. Are you someone who enjoys the jungle and DnB stylistics of early 2000s racing games? Daze has that for you. What about the sweet sounds of 90s house mixed with a little techno for good measure? Daze has that too, and a lot of it. Take any style of dance - past or present - and Daze certainly has at least one instance of said style at its best in their discography. Their new sample collection, ‘Dazecore’, is a ground-up rework of this nostalgia trip’s fundamental building blocks. Spatial Audio
There’s no doubt that virtual reality could be the future of music. We’re seeing that now more than ever. But did you know that sound itself has its own virtual worlds to explore? The Splice Explores team collaborated with composer, producer, and sound designer, Jonathan Rowden to go where few sample packs have gone before: into the pioneering, bleeding edge of spatial audio. Encompassing a small myriad of formats, spatial audio is best known for its 3-dimensional realism, which is essential to virtual experiences by using ambisonics (360-degree immersive sound fields) and binaural audio (a simulation of your own head in those fields). But what would it look like to make music in the virtual realm for the everyday? We’ve taken the idea of virtual worlds as the impetus for creative action. Using mostly modular synthesis and field recordings, we’ve curated a library of rich, organic spatial environments, one-shots, loops, and beats that will inspire you to explore immersive sound-making for yourself. The natural field recordings were captured by an MH Acoustics Eigenmike em32 ambisonics microphone and decoded to 16-channel ambisonics, included in this pack. NOTE: Refer to the documentation in your DAW to ensure you can play back files marked "ambisonic."

Voices of Rage is an aggressive death metal, hardcore and powerful metal vocal library. This Splice edition captures the energy, raw grit and sonic diversity of metal vocalists Evan “Severed” Seidlitz, Alecia “Mixi” Demner (Stitched Up Heart), Jason Kocol (Impaled) and Aaron Boynton (The Sky We Scrape). Our newest addition to the library, titled "Sapphire" pays homage to the classic jazz-fusion releases of the 70's. Each loop in this pack pays careful attention to the depth of composition and live feel that any jazz lover is naturally drawn to. Each arrangement is beautifully woven together with a variety of instruments, but mixed and glued together with the slight saturation and compression that creates the textures that inspire us to sample. As always, we use real analog gear and play every instrument in real time.We've included live trumpet, trombone, and fretless bass to provide the realism and soul to these samples that we are known for. In addition to the 10 Melodic Loops, and stems for each Melodic Loop (67 total loops!) included in this pack, we've included 10 drum breaks, and 47 drum one-shots. In the style of 70's jazz, these drums are tuned tight and dry, with just the right amount of snap! Flamenco Essentials Vol. 2
Flamenco Essentials by Gio Israel aims to amplify the unique and authentic magic of Flamenco music. Recorded in Grenada, Spain by some of the world’s leading Flamenco musicians, this new collection is an accumulation of over 70 studio hours recorded for the series. “Years ago, on one of my tours as a DJ, I was welcomed for the first time at Triana, the Gypsy quarter of Seville, Spain, the birthplace of Flamenco. I immediately fell in love with the people, tastes, sounds and vibe that resonated from every corner of this small neighborhood. Walking the streets, it was as if music echoed from every wall. It was then I understood Flamenco is much more than music, it’s a lifestyle.” The roots of flamenco, though somewhat mysterious, seem to lie in the Gypsy migration from Rajasthan (in northwest India) to Spain between the 9th and 14th centuries. These migrants brought with them musical instruments, such as tambourines, bells, and wooden castanets, and an extensive repertoire of song and dance. In Spain they encountered the rich cultures of the Sephardic Jews and Moors. Commonly associated with the Andalusian region of southern Spain, their centuries-long cultural intermingling produced the unique art form known as flamenco. For “Drums Volume 1” we partnered with Zev Shearn-Nance to create the ultimate live drum sample pack. With 75 meticulously recorded drum loops, played in different tempos, genres, and tones, it was designed with both producers & songwriters in mind. Our goal was to create the most functional drum samples possible. We made sure to keep them chunky and flavorful without taking too many creative liberties, we will leave that up to you! Also included in the pack are live hi-hat loops, one-shots, fills, and “hybrid” drum loops (programmed by Krs. & Mars Today) all treated to sonic perfection.Since graduating from USC’s School of Music, Zev has performed with artists such as Sabrina Claudio, Remi Wolf, Bennie Maupin, and many others. The Vault: Golden Soul Resampled
Arthouse Acoustics presents The Vault: Golden Soul Resampled, a rare collection of original soul samples & full compositions reminiscent of 60’s & 70’s soul. Expect beautiful harmonised vocals, soaring strings, sparkling brass sections, and rhythmic guitars. We composed, arranged, and recorded with some of the finest session musicians to bring you authentic melodic loops, that we then broke down, resampled, reworked, and chopped to provide a diverse collection of samples that will fit into boom bap just as well as they will into contemporary trap and hip hop. We used authentic production techniques and analogue processing to create soul loops dripping in class and style.We included a brand new drum kit, each drum was made with boom bap in mind, using live drum samples and coloured with saturation and vintage processing.
Deck Thrashers XR, a DJ Fuck moment
To round off an incredible season for Moment, we wanted to drop something special we’ve been working on for months—a pack from a name the whole industry swears by... DJ Fuck is the manic turntablist alter ego of pioneering virtual performer, artist & VR puppeteer Sam Rolfes, whose chopped-up hyper-speed AV internet-music DJ sets have torn up stages with Danny L Harle, Lil Mariko, Dorian Electra, PC Music, and more across the experimental club world. Their sets are fast, manic, and collide CDJ instrumentalism with a spray of breakcore, hardstyle, hyperp*p, and assorted meme music. Deck Thrashers XR is a sample-pack-homage to the classic scratch records of DJ Qbert while also investigating the limits of modern CDJ technology. We tasked Moment alum DJH to create original breaks, zaps & full club-ready tracks for DJ Fuck to scratch, chop, and spin back into oblivion. Then we tasked umru to do the rest! :)Primarily recorded in one day at a Pirate studio, our goal was to bring the unique sonic character of the equipment we hear out every weekend right into your DAW at home. From ear-catching scratch loops to crowd-hyping fx, as well as original vocals from DJ Fuck and longtime collaborators Holly+, and Katabelle, Deck Thrashers XR is our largest pack to date, with 391 samples of pure deck carnage. Reviewing the pack’s recordings, we had Sam translate some of their alter ego’s ramblings: ”OUAGH BABYY (this collection is a new, digital take on classic turntablist break records)”, the crazed disc jockey can be heard screaming between takes, and continued to elaborate with a series of Korn-like grunts “OOWACKA WACKA GRRRRRRAOUW DECK THRASHERZ YAYAYAYA (in collaboration with DJH, Deck Thrashers XR breaks apart the CDJ jogwheel as a one-dimensional instrument and expands it into a cintense melodic and rhythmic cascades)”.

Franc Moody Sample Pack
Franc Moody's sound is contemporary funk, awash with electronic inspiration, human touches, and throbbing grooves. Like Daft Punk and Jamiroquai before them, they draw from the sounds, styles and techniques of funk, disco and soul while simultaneously threading in electronic influences of the here and now. Paradigm illustrated the band's dedication to detail in the quest for just the right sound the best: "It took the London band Franc Moody some time to perfect the ideal clap sound. They tried clapping their hands, then they tried numerous people clapping their hands. But after much experimentation, they discovered that the most pristine clap sound comes, yes, when you record three pairs of hands clapping in which one pair is wearing marigolds. This isn't abnormal behaviour for Franc Moody. Listen to their songs and you'll hear salt shakers and mugs, dripping radiators, the sound of someone zipping their flies, and their own family playing strings. It's this kind of DIY sound design and attention to detail that has made the new London duo such a curious and captivating proposition."
