A huge palate of over 240 grooves with tempo’s ranging from 86 to 168 bpm along with 70 hits makes this pack a sure fire way to add that authentic glam flamboyance. Senegalese Zouk
Earning its French Antillean Créole name from nightlong dance parties on the islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique, zouk music blends a variety of Caribbean, African, and North American music styles including soul, R&B, disco, merengue, rumba, soukous, salsa, and compas. Recorded at La Boutique Studios Dakar, this pack explores zouk from a specific Senegalese lens, as this style is now popular in Dakar clubs. Early zouk was distinguished from its Antillean relatives by its studio sound, including the extensive use of synthesizers, along with female lead and backup singers. It also used instruments and rhythms from local French Antillean traditions and cultural practices. Its guiding rhythm honors its Caribbean heritage with a repeated pattern of two long beats followed by a short beat usually carried by the hi-hat cymbals. As zouk became more popular internationally, lyrics were sung in French rather than Créole. Much like Chicago house music, zouk is an amalgamation of different popular music styles of the time. Zouk is different in that those styles were happening in different geographies, making it a truly unique symbol of the diaspora and international cultures influencing one another.

Noise
Noise is all around us, both natural and human made. While noise is defined as "unwanted, or unpleasant", it is in fact an integral component of sound design and composition. Drum, percussion, and even melodic sounds can be synthesized and sculpted using various noise profiles as a starting point, and producers often use tape hiss, vinyl crackle, and other noise to add depth to their compositions. Noise includes all types of broad frequency "disturbances", such as crackles, pops, hisses, hums, and tones. This pack explores noise both generated from analogue synthesizers and sampled from the real world. In addition to being presented in raw form ready for manipulation, these natural and synthesized noises have been filtered and edited into drums, one-shots, sound fx, and melodic elements ready to add interesting depth to your production.

Rhythm Boxes From Mars
Rhythm Boxes are some of the most useful and creative tools for a music producer. From making vibey lo-fi indie, to layering for house and techno, to some real groovy disco - these tried and true patterns always tend to come in handy. We compiled our favorite four rhythm boxes into one pack, including all their preset pattern loops (full as well as stripped for layering) and their isolated one shots. This pack contains the most iconic rhythm box, the CR78, and a couple rarities!These are the 4 rhythm boxes we sampled:CR78:This is the classic. We know it, we love it. When you think of rhythm box, this is the sound that comes to mind. This pack contains all the classic patterns and isolated one shots recorded pristinely, as well as distorted versions that have been mangled with a vintage 1960s organ mixer. Metallic percussion, warm analog kicks, crisp 808-ish snares, and some of the smoothest hi hats of all time. R64:The R64 from early 1980s Italy has the functionality and limitations of a typical rhythm box, but sounds quite different, as it's sample based rather than analog. 12bit PCM samples, sourced mostly from acoustic percussion, give the R64 a punchy quality more akin to a punchy 80s drum machines than the CR78. But unlike these classic EPROM based machines, the R64 sports analog sounding cymbal samples, giving the unit a unique, hybrid flavor all its own. There are possibly less than 10 working versions of this machine, making it the rarest drum machine in this pack.Rhythm 700:"It's big and from the 70s" is the most information you can find about the Rhythm 700, also known as the TR 700. It's another rare one - a 3ft tall analog rhythm box that doubles quite nicely as a piece of studio furniture. The sound is unbeatable - early 70s analog drums, with airy hi hats, a punchy snare and snappy analog percussion. It's older and a bit grittier (there is some noise) than its late 70s siblings the CR-68 and CR-78. We also sampled and re-pitched this rhythm box’s one shots using the SP sampler for even more grit and flexibility.MR10:This is one of the overlooked rhythm box gems of early 80s. It is all analog, and sounds like an extremely snappy cross between a CR78 and an 808. It has a certain edge that translates it very well to modern electronic music styles. This thing cuts!This pack contains 486 WAV files from these 4 drum machines - 262 loops of their preset patterns, and 14 kits of one shots for a total of 224 one shots.
poppy essence, a six impala moment
With members hailing from Canada, Argentina, Finland and The United States, the diversely talented and remarkably innovative music group six impala is best known for their explosive energy, provocative instrumentation and addictive song writing. Growing up online and developing their sensibilities in such different cultures and environments, six impala’s inspirations have grown incredibly contrasted, varied and personal in a way that forces discussion and compromise that results in an unmatched sonic identity. ‘poppy essence’ is inspired by their latest album EARWAX, a tragic narrative tale with an unapologetically aggressive sound palette comprising bombastic guitars, angelic vocal tones, ripping screams and sinister synth work. When we first contacted six impala, they agreed to work with us—but only if we met in the flesh to retrieve their work. We had a lot on our plate so we sent an intern. We never saw them again, but a few months later received a package with this message attached:::“I don’t recall how I arrived, but when I awoke I was immediately overwhelmed by an expansive white emptiness that festered far beyond the corners of my peripheral view. The only thing in sight was this puzzling collection of orbs floating in front of me. At the center of these was a screen, a keyboard and a large silver platter. The screen read ‘resonance extraction pending: press “enter” to commence’. I’m not sure what I expected, but upon hitting enter on the keyboard I started to hear a familiar, dark and dizzying pluck sound repeat itself six times in succession– suddenly, my very soul was extracted, stretched like putty, my fibers decoupled, I was reshaped as pure resonance and stuffed inside this box. When the process was complete, I collapsed and landed on the platter from before where they labeled me ‘poppy essence’.POPPY ESSENCE IS THE MANIFESTATION OF RESONANCE IN UPPER PLANE - RESONANCE IS A LIFE FORCE SUBDIVIDED INTO NEUTRAL, CYNICAL, SORROWED, SILLY, JOYOUS AND OPALINE TYPES. THANKS TO THE INVENTION OF THE RESONANCE DRIVE, THIS ESSENCE HAS BEEN CAREFULLY PACKAGED AND MADE SHAREABLE WITH ALL OF HUMANITY, DESPITE YOUR LOWLY EXISTENCES.”
Motif: Preludes & Nocturnes In Trap
Kits are named after piano genres from the romantic era. Short, repetitive piano riffs and hooks with modern accompaniment. In music, a motif or is characteristic of a composition: "The motive is the smallest structural unit possessing thematic identity" The Encyclopédie de la Pléiade regards it as a "melodic, rhythmic, or harmonic cell", whereas the 1958 Encyclopédie Fasquelle maintains that it may contain one or more cells, though it remains the smallest analyzable element or phrase within a subject. It is commonly regarded as the shortest subdivision of a theme or phrase that still maintains its identity as a musical idea. "The smallest structural unit possessing thematic identity".

Origin Sound are proud to present “Atlantis” – A deep collection of Liquid Drum and Bass samples, including calm and captivating chord progressions, waves of flowing melody lines, deep bass lines, crisp cutting drums and a plethora of gorgeous sound effects. For “Atlantis” we’ve developed a vast range of melodic sounds to dive into, from delicate keys to layered guitar lines and smooth, flowing basses. These 49 musical progressions help capture the desired fluidity of any Liquid Drum and Bass masterpiece. To aid the writing process, these loops, basses and melodies are all confined within two keys for maximum compatibility with one another. Combining these progressive loops with the natural sounding musical one shot samples will allow you to create a soundscape of complexity with a touch of class in minutes. The 17 carefully crafted drum loops are the foundation of “Atlantis”, with the aim to ensure your productions have a solid groundwork. We have also provided individual stem bounces of these loops to give a customisable option when creating your drums.
